We are currenlty accepting new learners. Due to COVID-19 regulations, we are working to ensure all health and safety regulations are maintained. Registration will be done by appointment only. To get started contact Alison by email at info@adultliteracyfredericton.org or by phone 506.458.1396.

Since 1978, Adult Literacy Fredericton has been teaching adult learners to read and write. Over 1,500 people have been trained as volunteer tutors and more than 2,000 leaners have received help. Our trained tutors work with people to improve their basic and functional skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, numeracy and other life skills.

Our programs are adapted to the goals of the student. Using methods developed by literacy pioneer, Dr. Frank Laubach, our trained volunteer tutors to work one-on-one with adult learners.

Misson: changing lives through literacy

Vision: all adults have the opportunity to develop their literacy skills

We are a registered charity and an affiliated council of Laubach Literacy New Brunswick.

We are currently accepting nominations for the Hon. Jocelyne Roy Vienneau Memorial Adult Literacy Award until April 26th.  Nominees should be committed individuals who are addressing adult literacy in the community.  More information and application form can be found here: https://bit.ly/31WVpVy
